Element Water by ~Amaterasu1960
CATEGORY: Traditional Art/Oil
This lovely, surreal oil painting is one of many beautiful works by ~Amaterasu1960. It captures the imagination in the details, as well as in the realistic face of the woman who stands in the luster of the night sky. Take a look at the gallery. You won't be disappointed.

Description
This is the second painting in my elements collection, based upon John W.Waterhouse's 'Circe Invidiosa'.
As you might notice, I'm also using space as a common thread throughout the series.
For this one I asked my daughter to model for the face.
I'm thinking about adding something though (more stars or maybe something red?) before I'm going to varnish it, because I feel like there's something missing.
I had a bit of a problem with making a good photograph of this work as you might notice,
this one was by far the best I could make without the light reflecting in it and sort of blanking out half of the painting. And without the flash I only got blurry pictures so that wasn't good either.
Oh well, If you have any remarks or comments I'd love to hear them
P.S. I'd really like to thank my teacher Christianne for her great help. Here on dA she's known as Raipun, you should check out her wonderful website
